Coffee & Caffeine

How much coffee do you drink during the day? Do you have a cup in the morning? Maybe another cup in the afternoon? Do you have a pot in the morning & a latte from a coffee shop in the afternoon? Or maybe you like your coffee in the morning and diet coke in the afternoon as a pick-me-up?.

How much caffeine is too much caffeine?
A few things need to be considered when asking that question. Do you have an underlying condition, such as; diabetes, high blood pressure, kidney problems, how much water you drink during the day?, etc.

Generally speaking in a healthy person, I would not recommend more than 2-3 eight ounce cups a day. Be sure to balance caffeine out with your water consumption. Caffeine acts as a diuretic, and can dehydrate you if you do not drink enough water.

I personally have 1-2 cups in the morning and sometimes have a cup of either coffee or green tea in the afternoon.
